Terms and Conditions

4.1 Bidding Process

• All bids are binding and irrevocable once placed
• Bids must be placed in the specified increments
• The highest bid at auction close wins the item
• Reserve prices may apply to certain items
• Proxy bidding is available for registered users

4.2 Auction Extension

• Auctions may be automatically extended if bids are placed in the final 5 minutes
• Extensions will be for a minimum of 5 additional minutes
• This prevents "sniping" and ensures fair bidding opportunities

5.1 Prerequisites for Firearm Ownership

• Purchaser must be at least 21 years of age
• South African citizenship or valid permanent residence permit required
• Valid competency certificate from an accredited training provider must be obtained prior to license application
• Successful completion of prescribed knowledge test on Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000
• Practical training and testing on safe firearm handling must be completed

5.2 SAPS 271 License Application Process

• SAPS 271 application form must be completed and submitted to the Designated Firearms Officer (DFO)
• Required documentation includes certified copies of ID, competency certificate, proof of residence, and passport photographs
• Fingerprints will be taken on SAPS 91(a) form during application submission
• Prescribed fees must be paid via cash or bank-guaranteed cheque
• Secure firearm storage meeting SABS standards must be installed and inspected
• Each individual firearm requires a separate license application

• Users must be 21 years or older
• Valid South African ID document required
• All information provided must be accurate and current
• Camdix reserves the right to verify all documentation
• Accounts may be suspended pending verification

7.1 Payment Methods

• Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)
• Cash payments (for collection in person only)
• Credit card payments (where available)

7.2 Payment Terms

• Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close
• Items will only be released upon receipt of cleared funds
• VAT at 15% is applicable where required
• Banking fees are for the buyer's account
• SAPS 271 application forms will only be issued once payment has been received in full

• Legal ownership and possession of firearms remains with Camdix until SAPS issues the purchaser's firearm license
• Upon successful license issuance, collection must be arranged from our licensed dealer premises in Krugersdorp
• Original firearm license documentation and valid identification must be presented during collection
• Collection is available during business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Licensed firearms transportation services may be arranged at the purchaser's expense once the firearm license has been approved
• Alternative arrangements for transfer to another licensed firearms dealer may be accommodated where legally permissible

• All descriptions are provided in good faith
• Condition reports are available on request
• Viewing by appointment is encouraged before bidding
• Items are sold "as is" unless otherwise stated
• Camdix is not responsible for undisclosed defects

• All items are sold without warranty unless manufacturer warranty applies
• Camdix's liability is limited to the sale price of the item
• Users participate at their own risk
• Camdix is not liable for technical issues affecting bidding
• Force majeure events may affect auction schedules

• All disputes subject to South African law
• Johannesburg High Court has jurisdiction
• Mediation preferred before litigation
• Complaints procedure available on request

• Personal information collected in accordance with POPIA
• Information used only for auction and legal compliance purposes
• Data shared with SAPS and authorities as required by law
• Users may request access to their personal data

• Camdix may terminate accounts for breach of terms
• Users may close accounts with 30 days notice
• Outstanding obligations survive termination
• Terminated users forfeit access to the platform

Camdix reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes and continued use constitutes acceptance of amended terms.
